 10000-subscribers

Overnight we had our 10,000th subscriber to the free Bariatric Newsletter!  Thank you so much for allowing us here at Bariatric Cookery to share your weight-loss journey – we feel very privileged to be part of it.

No doubt many of you are here because you’re considering, have had or are supporting a friend or family member with their hopes and ambitions to deal with obesity. We recognise the uphill struggle this can be – not just losing the weight but also maintaining that loss (and sometimes the regain that occurs). It means you’re never alone and we hope with our advice, recipes, guest blogs and postings on news in the bariatric community that you’re well versed, equipped and enjoy the road ahead.

thankyou-10000-subscribers

To celebrate this milestone we’re making a commitment to bring more tempting recipes and newsletters; more informative research and guest posts to your inbox; and more helpful aids to make your day-to-day bariatric life a little smoother.

Indeed this week we shall be launching a new product which we are so excited about – we’ve been road-testing it for some time now and can’t believe how we managed without it. You’ll see it later this week so do come back for an early preview …

In between time (and if you’re so inclined) take a look at the infographic below that clearly shows the facts on obesity, the role of WLS; the surgery options available etc. You may already know many of these facts but they can serve as a great reminder or a visual aid if you wish to inform someone else about your chosen treatment.

GUEST POST: Weight loss surgery has been tackling the growing obesity problem for decades, with improvements in techniques and outcomes happening all the time.

From gastric bands to bypass surgery, there are a number of options tailored to individual needs. These procedures, alongside a programme of exercise and diet control, have been proven to be highly effective at helping obese people to reduce their BMI levels.

As one of the most effective ways to tackle obesity and help lose and keep off weight, we have produced an infographic to take a closer look at where it has come from, where it is going and what are the options.

Our infographic brings together in depth research from Ramsay Healthcare, as well as other reputable sources like the NHS, McKinsey and Public Health England, providing you with a quick and easy to follow guide on weight loss surgery.
