So tonight we turn the clocks back and gain an extra hour…what do you plan to do with yours?
I’m guessing that most will settle for an extra hour of shut-eye but if you can’t or don’t want to then here are some weight-loss friendly options:
Stay in bed but start reading a new book …. maybe it’s one you’ve been trying to get around to so now is the prefect time to make a start.
Like-wise stay under the duvet but meditate or cogitate in a useful way …perhaps make plans for the future, reflect on the past or just empty your mind!
Download your first podcast …. something I haven’t done yet with the excuse of too little time…now my time has come.
Plan your next holiday … a short winter break, a summer family holiday or educational retreat…go on you’re worth it.
Treat yourself to a face or a hair mask ….or even both!
Fit in a quick work-out or an extended one ….a great start to the day.
Give yourself a DIY manicure …. doesn’t take long and great to emerge with lovely mitts!
Start a blog, a diary/journal or story …everyone has a story to tell (maybe your wls one) and can prove inspirational to others or be life-affirming even if it’s only read by ourselves. Get some thoughts down on paper…
Have a wardrobe clear out ….ok this one is for me … bag for the clothes bank, charity shop and e-bay at the ready.
Cook a very special breakfast or brunch and perhaps serve on a specially-laid table.
AND MY FAVOURITE!!!! Go out and kick some autumn leaves…fresh air, exercise and laughter all rolled into one.
