It’s important because people who have bariatric surgery are not allowed to take certain medications because of the changes to their stomach and intestines but it doesn’t mean they have to suffer – there are still some over the counter options available to bariatric patients. Knowing the medications you CAN take is just as important as knowing the medications you CAN’T take. Read the labels and look for the ingredients you know you can use.
