There are a few people that I find tricky to buy for at Christmas time – they seemingly have everything! Sometimes I buy plants, sometimes gift vouchers for experiences but often I turn to food. Who doesn’t love a home-made treat made by someone else?
We have produced a few over the years to consider and they are below (all in one place for you to scroll through) but also consider the ready-made gift yourself that can be made all the more special with an addition.
I love to browse through antique and bric-a-brac places for foodie finds and just recently came across an antique French pickling fork (and at little cost) I tied this to a jar of ready-made dill pickles and voila my friend Lucy’s name gets a tick next to her name on the pressie list.
I do the same with pretty cups and tea; unusual pasta and a great serving dish; cookies and a decorative jar, or the main ingredients for a special recipe. Always, always appreciated! It’s often the thought that counts.
But onto the home-made edibles how about ….
