Everyone loves a dip – whether it’s for party food, a lunch box addition, a support group offering or legitimate snack. We make them quite often and have a whole repertoire in our archives from bean, avocado and salsa to more unusual beetroot (use the search box to see what’s on offer!).
Here is a very simple one that we like to serve with vegetable crudités, our bariatric-friendly veggie crisps (from bk 2), parmesan crisps, but also as a jacket baked potato topping too.
It’s so simple that we have added it to our Super Simple Recipe archive of recipes too.
LOADED CHEESY BACON DIP
300 g/10 oz plain Greek yogurt (I used Yoplait)
100 g/1 cup grated low or reduced-fat Cheddar or other hard cheese
2 rashers/slices cooked bacon crumbled or ¼ cup bacon crumbles
3 tablespoons snipped fresh chives
salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Mix the yogurt with the cheese, bacon, chives and salt and pepper to taste, mix well.
- Spoon into a serving bowl and serve with vegetable crudités, veggie or protein crisps/chips or as a topping for a jacket-baked potato.
