So it’s the final day of the year at last … and I am delighted to have made it! Have your last few ones, like mine, been an over-stuffed comedown? One of my friends calls this time, ‘CHRIMBO LIMBO’, because everything does seem suspended. But the lethargic haze is now lifting and I now feel rested and invigorated enough to look forward to 2016 and what it might bring. It’s party time for me tonight since I am attending a family party for a special birthday as well as greeting and cheering in the New Year – it promises to be a great start to 2016.
Like many of you I shall be making some resolutions today, or more realistically setting some goals to aim for on the health and well-being front – but all carefully considered so that they are realistic, achievable and moreover enjoyable. None have the word DIET in them!
I hope you will join me again in 2016 where we will continue to make food choice pre- and post-surgery as inviting and nourishing as we can through our recipes and advice; push on with understanding our on-going needs post-WLS so that we enjoy good health for years to come via our blogs (both originated here and as guest ones); and moreover encourage and promote the need to enjoy our lives to the full with exercise, activity, friendship and support. It’s essential that we work at fulfilling our own needs as well as those around us. Let’s all raise a glass to that.
The team here at bariatriccookery.com wish you all the very best for 2016 and look forward to greeting you again in the New Year!
