WHO ATE ALL THE PIES?
I’ve always found it strangely amusing that those who deride the overweight and obese see them as ‘eating all the pies’ (not so funny I know if you’re at the receiving end of such a comment). I guess it’s the stereotyping of a large guy or lass with a pie in each hand that reinforces that (but some would say it’s balanced eating!). Joke over, pies come in for some hard flak when weight-loss is discussed but like any other food it’s not the concept that is wrong, it’s more the delivery. We have some deliciously tasty pies on our website and they have all been developed to be bariatric-friendly. If you’ve missed the recipes before and miss the lure of a golden topped pie, then here’s a sample of what we have covered with links to the recipes – give them a try this special Pie Week ….
