The Rugby World Cup is now well underway and I can’t wait for the next match on Sunday morning. But 7 am is a tad early to be cooking a ‘big’ breakfast…so what to serve? How about a smoothie, bursting with flavour, vitamins and anti-oxidants to get a real kick-start?

JONNY ‘SMOOTHIE’ WILKINSON
Ingredients
Metric/US
1 medium banana
150g/5 oz blueberries
175g/6 oz strawberries, hulled
600 ml/21/2 cups no-added sugar pomegranate juice
Method
1. Place the banana, blueberries, strawberries and pomegranate juice in a blender and process until smooth.
2. Add crushed ice for a seriously cooling smoothie if the action gets hot!
