There are so many foods I like but I guess the key to guessing what they are lies with the seasons – so in spring I gravitate towards asparagus and herbs; in summer berries and other soft fruit; in autumn squash and orchard fruits; and in winter tropical fruits, nuts and anything vaguely festive!

Those of you who follow me on social media will no doubt know that I have just had some shoulder surgery and am somewhat incapacitated. My arm is strapped to my body and will remain there for some weeks to come, save release during physio sessions. I have prepped well for this with some dishes
We made this Spinach and Ricotta Frittata (a kind of Spanish omelette) to celebrate the arrival of our new Bariatric Bento Box. It’s protein-rich, easy to make and delicious both hot and cold. We like to serve with salad but it would make an equally good meal with other seasonal vegetables or just by itself.
