Bariatric-Friendly Hallow’een Magic

October 27, 2018 Leave a Comment

A Bariatric-Friendly BOO!

There’s no denying that Hallow’een and trick or treat time is here again – but it needn’t be a scary affair! We say make it work for you. Either make some bariatric-friendly food treats to celebrate alongside everyone else or choose some non-food treats to get into the party spirit.

We have made a good number of foodie treats (and ideas) you can use, many of them shown below to enjoy over the years –  but here are a couple of new ones to add to the repertoire. And of course there are our non-food and advisory features on how to survive the sweet/candy onslaught. Check them out at the end of the feature by viewing the Related Articles at the foot of this feature or use the Search Box on the home page.

Pumpkin Fondue or Dip: For a great ice breaker to a party or celebratory Hallow’een occasion why not make a dip or a fondue and serve it in a hollowed out pumpkin shell. You can add the cooked, scraped out pumpkin to the mix so that there is no waste. Serve with your choice of dippers on the side.

Strawberry Ghosts: Dip large whole strawberries in melted sugar-free white chocolate and place on greaseproof paper , dragging them a little to create the ghost’s tails. Leave to set. When hard, decorate with melted dark sugar-free chocolate to create drops and lines which look likes ghosts ghost’s eyes and mouths. Leave to set and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

You’d Have to Be a Ghoul Not To Try One!
