Bariatric cookery…it’s not just about eating less!

December 26, 2010 Leave a Comment

I receive countless queries every week about eating after weight-loss surgery. Some are from people wanting to know more before considering surgery and others from patients who have had the surgery and somehow are bewildered about the new regime they need to adopt for success.

I found out a lot prior to my surgery by reading books, visiting websites, talking to dieticians and nutritionists and taking an active part in responsible and well-regulated forums.

One that I did visit on a regular basis, wlsinfo, was very good and I have recently been asked by them to write a series of articles relating to bariatric eating and cooking after weight-loss surgery. The first one, just published, is a general introduction and will be followed by more detailed ones relating to special food groups.

It can be viewed on the wlsinfo.org.uk website (or go to the press, links and testimonials page for a quick link).
