Breakfast/Brunch is often the best time of any day and should be extra decadent on a lazy bank holiday. This week we have been trying out some new vegetarian sausage alternatives in the Bariatric Test Kitchen but I volunteered to test the breakfast/brunch alternative on behalf of everyone else this bank holiday in the UK!
You can see why! For this breakfast/brunch plate has a good helping of the new ‘Nuts About Cheese’ vegetarian sausages from Heck. Made with cashew nuts, two
cheeses, flax and chia seeds with a dash of chilli they mix and match wonderfully with a baked mushroom, stalk of vine tomatoes and a poached egg. These are doubly delicious sausages and I shall serve them again main meal style with some grilled asparagus for a decadent feast where they will have a star turn. The other products Super Green Balls (like meatballs) and Gourmet Goat’s Cheese Burgers we’ll feature next week in some recipe dishes.
The new Heck vegetarian range has launched this week (in Waitrose) and are well worth looking out for as a veggie alternative, they are a far cry from the regular soya-sausage offering!
