Not surprising that January is National Soup Month really since almost all of us hanker after a bowlful of something warm and comforting when the roads turn icy, going out gets a frosty reception, and the only thing that can fix this is a soothing spoonful of something quick to heat. That said, I love soups all year round and make at least one or two a month. I admit that in the early stages after bariatric surgery I did tire of them somewhat but I think that was more to do with texture rather than taste. I did experiment with flavours to offset this and my Thai Chicken and Vegetable Soup (in Return to Slender Bk 1) was and still is an all-time favourite that I never get bored with.
We’ve created many soup recipes over the last 6 years, some are
in our books, some feature in our free newsletters and many have been featured as blogs. Here’s a round-up of some of the most popular with the links to their recipes – make one or two during this chilly spell, freeze a couple for when time is scarce, or make the most of some leftovers or bargains with others.
