What Is Burn’s Night?
In 1801, on the fifth anniversary of Robert Burns’s death, nine friends of the beloved poet gathered at Burns cottage, Alloway in order to celebrate his life and works. Unbeknownst to them, that night, this group of men created the phenomenon that is Burns Supper.
