bariatriccookery.com to date has been known more for food than for fashion although we have been widening our scope to make this a more comprehensive website for those who have had weight-loss surgery (who don’t just have food dilemmas). So this year we have branched out to find out more what you want fashion, beauty and health-wise beyond food. So many responded to our feature on summer thigh chafing that we had to take a look further at what could help; and the inevitable ‘bingo-wings’, skin-baggy arms stayed right up there at the top as a post-surgery problem (I may have skewed the figures a bit on this one since I loathe mine). We researched the solutions for both and have trialled a good many so-called solutions. Sorry to disappoint those who think there is a miracle cream to erase these problems, there isn’t – but we do think we have come up with two pretty answers and we feature them as our Fashion/Comfort Finds of the Year!
They would make great Christmas presents! So here are the details …
These are the 2 items that have made my life easier in 2015. The Bandelettes were a Godsend on holiday – they meant I could walk comfortably everywhere without any thigh chafing and, as you can see from above, they look great under a Christmas/New Year or any other celebratory party dress. The Camiconfidential has enabled me to feel comfortable about wearing a sleeveless dress or top again – reining in my ‘bingo-wings’ so that the outfit looks chic. I have just one long-sleeved black lacy version for the winter months but will be definitely looking at more for year-round wearing.
In both cases the styles, colours, sizes and fabric choices are large, wide and varied so do take a look at their websites. See the bandelettes here and the camiconfidential here – then pop one or two on your Christmas wish list!
